Who We Are

About Us

The Children’s Dyslexia Center of Central New York is a service provided for children with dyslexia, serving Syracuse, Utica, Rome, and all of Central New York. The Children’s Dyslexia Center-CNY is one of three centers in New York State that provides the highest quality multi-sensory reading and written language tutorial services for children with dyslexia, through a network of nationally recognized centers of excellence, free of charge.

Welcome To My World: September 2024

Summer came and went with a flash and with September here we are busy at the center filling bins for tutors and students with supplies for their lessons, preparing binders, managing the September assessment schedule for new students, finalizing the tutoring schedule and preparing for our mandatory parent information night.

This year there will be eight second year students and ten first year students at the center. We have three new Practitioner 1 trainees, two Practitioner 2 trainees, and two trainees working on Instructor of Practitioner 1 and Supervisor/Mentor training. Instructor of Practitioner 1 training is a two-year process. We also have five new staff members…
