Momentum, Growth, and Looking Ahead
February at the Central New York Children’s Dyslexia Center—a time when the fresh energy of the new year begins to turn into meaningful momentum. With routines firmly re-established, our students are digging deeper into their learning and making exciting strides.
Our first-year students continue to strengthen their foundational skills, and it’s rewarding to see growing confidence shine through each session. Concepts that once felt challenging are becoming more familiar, and their pride in small victories remind us that consistent effort truly pays off.
Returning students are building on the strong progress they’ve already made. Their focus and perseverance are evident as they refine skills, tackle more complex material, and set their sights on new goals. Watching them recognize their own growth is one of the most inspiring parts of our work.
We are grateful for the continued support of our community through the Cans and Bottles Collection. On the last Wednesday and Thursday of every month, returnables can be dropped off to help support our programs. This ongoing effort may seem simple, but it plays an important role in sustaining the life-changing services we provide.
February is also a time of anticipation as we look ahead to one of our most special events of the year—our 12th Annual Gala on March 14, to be held at Harts Hill Inn. We are thrilled to welcome Robert Channing, Mentalist, who will provide an evening of unforgettable entertainment. This event is not only a celebration, but a vital opportunity to come together in support of our mission.
As we move through the heart of winter, we remain deeply thankful for our tutors, families, board members, donors, and community partners. Your dedication and generosity make every success story possible.
Thank you for continuing this journey with us. We look forward to the progress, connections, and celebrations that the months ahead will bring.
