We’ve had a bit of a different venue this month. Headquarters in Lexington, MA asked us to be
a part of a survey they are conducting to think about a new name for the Learning Centers. Our
population of participants was parents and families of children participating in the program.
One of the questions on the survey asked what words they would use to describe the qualities of
those who support the Learning Centers financially (that’s you!).
Here are the words that they used:
Another question asked the families to describe the difficulties the child with dyslexia faces.
One parent wrote:
"Before they come to the Center they feel there is something wrong with them and they can’t keep
up with other students in their classes; they lower their goals in life; they feel they can never
succeed; they stop trying."
And another parent wrote what I am sure they all feel:
"We thank those who make it possible for our children to benefit from this great program."
Ditto!!
