Application Process

I t is the goal of the Center to provide, free of charge, the highest quality multisensory reading and written language tutorial services for children with dyslexia or specific reading problems which are interfering with academic success. These difficulties can be established on the basis of performance records from school and the results of current (given within the last two years) psycho-educational or neuropsychological testing. This battery of tests will usually include results of psychological testing, a test of intelligence, and a learning evaluation, which includes test results in reading and other achievements. Copies of these documents should accompany your child’s application Assessment Tests.

Although your child’s IEP (Individualized Educational Program) that is completed by the school contains helpful information, it does not contain the necessary test information.

Please download and complete the two-page application form and return it with the required documentation to the Learning Center.

As soon as we have reviewed all required documentation and made a determination regarding your child’s eligibility for the program, your child will be placed on the waiting list. When an opening occurs you will be notified and advised as to when you should bring your child in for initial screening by the Center Director.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact the Center for a complete information packet. Linda L. Martin, Center Director
